Default MT DRs, finally

Finally found a descent deal on some DRs. For $250 I bought a full set of original Mach wheels in like new condition with two mounted with MT DRs with only 5 passes on them. My best time with both 3.55 and 4.10 gears is a 13.1. My goal now with the DRs and 4.10s is a 12.7x. I have a set of S197 wheels w/ 2 tires that are width of 235......Question...anyone think running the 235s in the front on the other two Mach wheels would benefit at all in the 1/4 with a little less rolling resistence?

i don't know that the 197 wheels will make much of a difference, they weigh more than our alum wheels don't they?

Nice find Rygi. You shouldn't have any issues achieving that 12.7.

a 235 on the front isn't going to make a huge difference. If you wanted to you could always add a little extra air to cut back on the rolling resistance.

Was talking about putting the 235s on the other two Mach wheels, not the S197s.

Dude showed up with only the two wheels w/ the DRs on them. That's a fair deal in itself, but I expressed my displeasure at the fact that the whole chat on the phone we talked about 4 wheels. Needless to say, I'm picking the other two up from him tomorrow. The tires look fabulous...they are 275s and look hardly used. I think I might buy his strut tower brace as well for $100. Another question.....haven't installed one yet, will I have any problem using the strut tower brace with my J&M c/c plates? Thx again.

P.S. If anyone's interested...he also has for sale an MSD shift light and a set of springs (2" drop) made by either Matrix or Extreme...can't remember which one.
