Default 2 questions for ya. Help please!

Car is feeling weaker and weaker at the track. After gears and tires my times are getting slower each time. Thought my driving was going away or something but tonight I let a fellow Macher make a pass in my car and he said he had no doubt the car felt sluggish to him. He went a 12.98 on street tires with an o/r H, catback, and an aftermarket clutch, which leads me to my 1st question........Will a clutch going away be a gradual process where no noise is heard or anything? I don't necessarily hear it slipping or feel a major slip but the car just isn't pulling as hard as it did. Second question.......I've read the MAF sensor is supposed to be at about 11 o'clock. I have it at 11 o'clock looking from the front of the car (slighter toward the passenger side) on my JLT ram air intake. I'm looking at other Machs and thier MAF is in the middle or slightly the other way. Do I have it right? Thx a bunch in advance.

how many miles on it? it could be a bunch of things, first though. whens the last time you changed your fuel filter and air filter. im sure with a clutch slipping you'd smell it. but i think it make be an air for fuel starving problem. It also could be compression slowly goin away.

47K. Just did fuel filter and JLT filter is clean. I've thought a couple times I smelled something stinky but blew it off, blamed it on car in front of me. I certainly hope it's not losing compression! Guess it's just something I'll have to monitor. Thanks.

check into some injector cleaner then maybe? i know if i turn my car on for a brief moment to move it and then shut it off then let it sit for a hour then turn it on, i get a poof of smoke from oil in the cylinder. i dunno what the issue is, i hope its not a bad oil ring or valve guides.

have you been sitting longer in line at the races? it could be a heat soak issue as well.

hell it could even just need a tune. i could list a lot of stuff. i wish i knew more on it.
