Default cams

ive had my mach 1 for a few months now and it is still bone stock other than my offroad X pipe.
over the winter im gonna park my mach in the shop and while shes sitting around i think im gonna do some mods like cams, 85-90mm mass air meter,
85mm throttle body, port and polished upper and lower intake, 24 or 30 lb injectors, pulleys, and 373 or 380 rear gear but im just wondering what would be the best cams for these mods.
i found these cams but just not sure about them?
any help will be appreciated
thanks

An 85mm TB is huge, do they make those. I mean they are twin bore TB's on the mach. I just ordered a 60mm accufab... With all those mods you might want longtubes as well. It would make sense since your intake will be flowing better than your exhaust with those mods.

lightnings have a 90mm TB...yeah i would save up and get plenty of money left under your feet before modding anything, diving into the motor is a very expensive thing unless your doing it.

i do all my work to my cars except the porting. i have a friend with a machine shop that does that for me.
this is just my first time workin on a quad cam engine
i work on and build 302 and 351w.
i had the chance to get longtubes for 150 but the guy sold them out from under me (craigslist)

do you think 85mm will be to big??

for a stock motor absolutely, the stock is fine for us. now if you get into some HIGH rpms or s/c or turbo bigger is better

+1 on the stock mass air meter. From the feedback I've seen and been given, the general consensus is that a larger one is a waste unless you're going forced induction. Assuming you meant 3.90 gears...you may want to just go 4.10/4.30 if staying naturally aspirated as the cruising rpm increase @ 60 is only approx. 300/400. To each his own though, ofcourse. I ain't the guru with cams but I know they're hella pricey for the gain. You might wanna check out some youtube clips to help you with the sound you prefer. The Crower Stage 2 gets good reviews and sounds good IMO. Have a blast with it!

Just my 2 cents...

In addition to your o/r X...Catback exhaust, Accufab throttle body, Intake spacer, K&N filter, Mustang Dyno tune.

If you're on a budget like most of us are pullies, coil packs and mass air would yield a VERY minimal gain and any gear less than a 4.10 ain't worth it. Those FRPP cams and longtubes/shorty midpipes are nice but the $/hp ratio just sucks. Depends on how deep your pockets are brother.
