Going to do some work this week...
to the Mach and wanted to get some advice from you fellow Mach ******. I'm going to do 4.10s this week and possibly have some high flow cats welded in. I'm also going to grab one of Roy's spacers while I'm at it. Since I ditched the cats, my top end has greatly improved, but the low end torque pulled a Houdini, lol. I know 4.10s will give the low end back mechanically, but I still want some of it to come from the flywheel as well. While the car is in the shop, I was thinking about having it tuned. My S197 picked up huge gains from a custom tune, but I've heard Machs don't respond as well to tunes. My question is to you all that had you Mach Dyno tuned. Was it worth the $$? What sort of gains did you see?

Haha, thanks man. Sometimes my bank account begs to differ though, lol!

After the gears and spacer, I don't plan on doing anymore bolt ons. If there were some that really woke the car up for the money I would. After this, I'm going to concentrate on the suspension and external weight reduction (K member, driveshaft, A-arms, etc.) I'd love to be able to tune the suspension enough that I can get a 1.75 60' on street tires. I did it once before on a Z28 I had, but it took about every suspension mod imaginable.

I was surprised that they ran the same ETs too. The only thing is, I was powershifting the S197 and not the Mach. The Mach kept trying to spin 2nd under hard shifts. I just put a Bassani catted X on the S197 and can really tell a difference in power. I'm hoping to run it this weekend if the weather clears up. I've got the feeling its gong to trap a good 2 mph higher, maybe even get into the 12s. The 4.10s ought to even it back out if I can keep it planted, lol!
