Tuning issues--inspection
Hey I went to get my mach inspected today, and it failed because the emmissions scan read 'not ready'... so I went to a private station, and they checked codes... the tune turned off alot of stuff.
I have a diablosport predator programmer, and if I back up the tune on there now, then put on the factory HP tune... will it work? Like... I know the predator can-tune will work with emmisions i've done it before. But I don't want to lose the tune that's on there now...

If it read "not ready", it could be it's because the car hasn't been driven enough since the latest tune was uploaded to the car. You may just need to put more mileage on it before it's inspected. The computer compiles data over time, and if you don't have enough time on since the last tune, it will spit the "not ready" code out to the emissions test.
If you want to go back to the factory tune or the Predator canned tune, the Predator will continue to hold your custom tune in memory until it's replaced by another custom tune. I've got a Predator and I've run back and forth between the custom tune and the factory HP tune before.
If you're really worried about losing your current tune, (as said above) download it to your pc so you have a backup copy. All you need is an rs-232 cable.
