Default Exhaust question.

I have an 04 mach 1 and i am stuck between either, Magnapacks,SLP lm2 or lm1, and flowmaster 40 series. Im looking for a loud throaty sound but not too (ricey). I will be putting a o/r x pipe on as well. Just looking for some advice from those who have heard them in person because i know videos do not do them justice.

Personally, I don't think the Flowmasters sound very good on a DOHC motor. From your list, I think I'd go with the Magnapacks.

I'm partial to Borlas myself.

My brother has o/r X and flowmasters and I think it sounds great. Mean and loud as hell. It sounds kind of raspy but when you let off the throttle at higher rpm's it sounds awesome.

LOL none of those you combine with a o/r x pipe will sound ricey....RASPY may be a different story.

I'm a fan of magnaflow, so I vote Magnapack. I don't like flowmaster's b/c they give a hollow/metallic/tinny(sp? lol) sound. The LM1's with catless x will be retartedly loud and poppy/raspy. They are pretty much a straight pipe. the LM2's will be a little mellower but still loud then would come the Magnapacks (more of a refined sound) then the flows in terms of rasp and noise.

another thing to consider is interior drone. I HATE interior drone. I can deal with a little, but it gets really annoying. I have heard flowmasters like to drone and my brother had o/r x pipe and magnapacks on a 2000 GT and cruising at 70mph was a bit loud and annoying for a DD.

If i had to guess maybe go with a catted x pipe (buy catless then find cheaper cats to weld in or have them swapable) with Magnapacks.

Nice, as always video clips and pics are required.

Goodluck.

Magnaflow catback and an o/r X on my 01 GT is terrible. It acutally sounds great but I drove 2000 miles at 85mph and the drone drove me insane.

Kenny: do you have the regular muffers or the Magnapack? I have the reg mufflers with stock gears and right at 75mph ~ 2k rpm there is some drone I could do without.

USMCrebel: Granted you have a 4V, what is the rest of your exhaust? I've been on the fence about getting the Adrenaline's to pair with my O/R x pipe and stock maifolds on my 04 GT.
