hey guys i was wondering whats good new stereo to put in because the mach 460 is dieing out on me..help/suggestions thanks.

 

IMO....Pioneer hands down.

 

ive been looking into the pioneer that are touch screen there not to pricey around like $400, might pick 1 up...i cant wait to get my fr500s chrome or stealth not sure yet

I had a pioneer in my Camaro and it was really nice, IMO I would buy another factory stereo and add the Mach1000 trunk unit. I just like the factory look in the interior.

 

pioneer ftw. do an amp bypass though. aftermarket radio on the mach system sucks. the hertz from the factory set up is too different from the aftermarket and you have no bass. it costs a little more unless you do it yourself, but well worth it. i've installed audio/video/security for many years, so feel free to ask any ?s if you do it yourself.

 

I'm not looking forward to the day I have to put a CD player in my Mach...it has the 460 in it and I have heard it's a bear to put one in. I've put a single DIN in my 04 GT, but that was simple. The wiring of the mach systems I heard is a mess/complicated.

Thankfully the previous owner put in a brand new CD player te day before I bought the car...so hopefully I won't have any issues for a while. For a stock system I'm impressed.

 

my brother has a double din touch screen pioneer in his acura and it is f'ing awesome! it makes shuffling through your ipod a cake walk. i'll probably have to install one in the cobra at some point.

 

I was always a fan of Alpine, but he new pioneer stuff is amazing.
