Default Think I found a good deal.

I found a 03 Mach 1 for sale for $8000. The replaced engine has 40K (need to ask if was replaced with the correct engine). Also clutch only has 10K. It has a few mods such as L/T prochamber, diablo and 4.30 gears, which I am not sure I would want. Here is the link:

that's one of those deals where you need to atleast talk to the him on the phone and feel him out with your questions. Hard to tell with things like that. You almost have to drive it to really get your questions answered. If nothing's wrong and the repairs were done well then ofcourse it's worth the money.

I may check it out this week. I will run both a carfax and autocheck on it.

It checks out okay on autocheck. Autochecks scores simlar vehicles on a range. For this car on range from 70-83 they gave it an 87. It also checks out okay on carfax.

This ^^^

40k miles on the car and he had to replace the motor and trans already? I would figure out what he replaced it with, who did the work and if there is paperwork for the new motor and trans plus the labor.

If all checks out that's a good deal. You just have to be skeptical about why he is selling a clean titled (I assume) Mach 1 with new motor and trans for only $8000.

He had it replaced at a local ford dealer with the 32V DOHC. According to carfax and autocheck, it has a clean title. I emailed a local shop were I have taken my car a few times and they will do a diagnostic on it. In the email he said he would be able to tell me alot about the car.
