Any of you swap your intake cams for the 96-98 Cobra cams? Apparently people are seeing 20-25 rwhp out of them and that is without degreeing/advancing.

What's up slicktastyk. I had a set but never installed them. They are handsdown the best deal for a cam upgrade. I'd say the hp #s I've seen were between 15 and 20 but maybe can push a few more with proper degreeing and tuning. The answer I received on degreeing when I was considering having mine installed was 106, there's a slight torque loss without it. There's an awesome graph somewhere on M1R comparing peak hp gains between the cobra cams, FR500 cams and a couple of the reasonably priced aftermarket ones, do a search and you might find it. Make sure you search ofcourse, guys on there like to bitch at you if you don't, lol.

They didn't have the cams and didn't have info they deemed useful enough to warrant wasting Mr. Ham's time with a useless reply.
