I have a 64.5 mustang. It's in great condition and I want to keep it that way. Need a mechanic who really knows this car and is in my area -- howard county, md.

 

Where in howard county? I've heard good things about Woodbine Motorsports in terms of working on Mustangs. They are just a couple of miles out of howard county in carroll. Anything exhaust related I really like Mandrel Bending solutions down in Pasadena.

For general maintenance work I've had good experience with Caton Auto Clinic when I couldn't do something myself, only hitch with them is they won't install any customer provided parts.

 

Check out the National Capital Region Mustang Club (NCRMC). Our members include guys that perform expert work on classic Mustangs at very reasonable prices (Woodbridge, VA, Brandywine, MD, etc.). One of these guys recently did a front disk upgrade for my 65 convertible, as well as suspension and steering work. I'm extremely happy with the results. If you are serious about upkeep and improvement of your Mustang, it pays to join a local club. You then have the advantage of networking with other members to find the best people/places for these purposes.
