Prepare to be EDUCATED!

Emmisions testing in mass requires 3 different things.

1) When they plug the registry computer into your OBDII (On board diagnostic) computer, it checks to make sure the O2 sensors are turned on (these live behind the stock cats), as well as a few other systems. You have to have 3/4 of these "ready" aka working to be able to pass.

2) The Computer also will report any error codes that come up. So if you have a check engine light on, you wont pass emissions. So lets say you removed the cats, the O2's would report an error, and you wouldnt pass.

3) The person doing the inspection has to pass you for safety and noise, more or less.

So as you see, changing mufflers does not effect 1 & 2, as you still have cats, and you wont have a check engine light. Just make sure you know the guy, and you'll be fine. As far as the registry is concerned, you will pass!

If you have ANY issues let me know, my guy will pass you no problem. As i just got my O/R H installed, and he loves the sound. Said as far as it passes the computer he doesnt care

Yea if thats what you want to do. I mean there is a VERY slim chance somebody would pass you with just the boom tubes, but if you do come up here for it i'll just stop by so you wont have to worry
