Well, the SPEC clutch showed up today:

Never seen a clutch disk with this much metallic content (the thing looks like solid bronze and is very cold to the touch). Will be interested to see how it does.

The transmission itself is shipping out today, just have to work out how I'm going to get it home from the freight depot. Probably have to rent a u-haul pickup truck.

The project is coming along well as far as pulling all the parts together:

Have:

TR-6060 Transmission: Picked up 3/16
Transmission to engine adapter plate: On hand
Spec Stage 3+ clutch: On hand, correct alighnment tool received from SPEC (originally shipped w/ wrong one).
Factory TR-6060 Shifter: On hand (for parts, need forward linkage)
MGW 6-speed shifter: Received 3/30
Retaining pins for shifter front rails: On hand
GT500 crossmember and transmission mount On hand
Synthetic fluid for trans fill (Royal Purple or Amsoil) Edit 3/21 Went with Amsoil ATF, online everyone seems to like that in the 6060, where RP was about 95% positive.
6 speed shifter **** Epco Rally Stripe **** ordered 4/3
New flywheel Received 4/17
Bungs and plugs for front 02 sensor relocations
Clutch line upgrade kit (Joe Heck Racing )

Ordered:

Transmission scissors jack (Harbor Freight)

Still needed:

Driveshaft (need to see if existing aftermarket aluminum one can be shortened, otherwise must order)

Hopefully all the bits will be ready to go by the end of the month.

Most definitely. By Mid-April if at all possible.

I always try to go with the mechanic I trust the most

I'll bust my tubby *** doing it, but at least I'll know everything was loctite'd properly, torqued to specs, etc.

Good to hear. Hope you can have the DS shortened and not need to order a new one.
