who installed your 8.8? im looking to get t lock installed in my 7.5 but i dont know what shop to go to and i seen your in philadelphia, just like me.

Glad the install went well. You are gonna get this done without too much overhead. It seems like I've seen some posts about aftermarket fogs that cost a lot less than the stock ones. Maybe you could find that using search. If I remember correctly, someone might even have found a set of the right diameter at Auto Zone. I have never gotten around to getting my fogs wired up. I hope to get that done soon. I will say that this is a worthy mod and makes my car look so much better.

I hear different things about the stone deflector also. Some say its not needed. It seems to do two additional things beyond blocking stones: supports the bottom of the fender cover so it won't vibrate, and directs some air up over the radiator for additional cooling. You might try doing without it and then add it later if you feel you need it. Some of the members have never bothered to install it. BTW, I like the look of the Eleanor also. It's a nice change from the standard GT look.

That's a great price if it includes shipping! If I remember correctly, Newtakeoff charged me $125 just for the shipping. You might actually get out of this thing without much invested in it.

Yeah, the install really isn't bad at all. I could have done it easily myself if I had the time then. I still haven't done the wiring harness. I'll take on this project pretty soon. I found an outfit on Ebay (sorry, don't have the URL on this computer) who does two different harnesses. One requires installing a new GT switch on the dash. That one requires taking off the wheel wells and running a new wire to the dash. A second harness just taps into your existing headlight wires. The fogs will come on when the lights are on. This approach is dead simple to install and doesn't require the GT switch. I think I'll start with this and see how much I like it.

Did you get your GT grill and fogs already? They were part of the package that I bought. If I didn't have them already, I probably would have installed the Bullitt grill instead. There's no fogs to mess with and I like the clean look.

Alec, I studied the how-tos for weeks with the idea that I'd do it myself. At the last minute I paid my body shop to do it for me. I was running really short on time then and could just drop the car off and get it done the same day. They charged me $200 bucks. That was way too much, I think, but I got in a hurry. Be sure that you read the full write-up on the install. There are several additional parts that you'll need to complete the installation. It's possible to find some of these online with some looking. I got them from the dealer--again because I was short of time. I think the parts ran me $170. I wound up with something like $750 invested in the project. I never would have done that if I had known in advance how much it would cost and how long it would take me to round up all of the parts. Here's my write-up about my experience:
