My 65

My 65
Being the FNG figured I would post some pictures of my ride, along with some added info.
1965 ford mustang, 289 and a C4. Picked her up close to 2 years ago, with work begining almost right away. No interior or exterior work has been done with the exception of some small tiny things and wheel/tire combos. My first plan was for a street/ mostly strip ride but it didnt really happen as I would prefer to beat the snot out of it on the street. First change was a set of weld drag lites and MT Et streets.
Here is a picture on delivery:
after a slight clean-up:
Motor has currently all top end mods, aluminum heads, comp cams 268H, exhaust, intake, 4 barrel. Once the HP bug got me I started building a strong bottom end to handle anything I put at it.
Summer last year I began a Huge project of redoing/redesigning the entire suspension system. replaced all bushings with roller bearings and fun stuff. You can follow along in my webshots link, however I did get some help from John at Opentracker racing and Alex from Moneymaker Racing.
I also added some new wheels and tires this past October and this is the most rescent updated picture:
I have 1" lowering springs upfront with 3/4 of a coil cut off. I have 3/4" home made lowering blocks out back. It took me quite a while to get my desired ride height but I think Im happy now. 99% of the work was done by me so far with the exception of mounting the tires to the wheels.
future upgrades are that new SB, I will be bolting up an AOD and swapping in some 3.80's.
