Well, reversed cowl hood scoops aren't at all uncommon in general, especially on the older muscle cars. They just aren't common on the S197. Hey, at least it works though! I couldn't do anything with it in terms of induction, so reversed it for a cooling/cowl effect that actually lowered intake/ambient temps by 25 degrees on average. I had been planning to do a shaker or maybe a Steeda cowl, so figured I had nothing to lose by experimenting on the stock hood...

Here are some old school examples I found on a cursory google image search:

1977 T/A

1978 Mustang Cobra:

Sweet ride. I think the chin spoilers is one of the best appearance mods you can do. Great work with the hood soop.

Thanks Big, yeah that CDC just looks like it belongs on the car! I was messing around in Paint.NET and came up with this pic:

LOL I agree...... everyone would go further into debt if they did that as every young stang owner will go out and do it!....... Kind of like the Axe effect commercials (but much more expensive then a body wash)

Thanks! Yeah, pretty much. I don't like them touching my ride anyway, lol. Supercharger was installed at 930 miles. I think I have like 1050 now...
