It's that time again! The 7th Scrming's Annual Children of the Corn Event at Lapeer Dragway!

This years' date will be Saturday, November 3rd with a rain date of Sunday November 4th.



Last year we had a good turn out from the Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club, for some fun rivalry!

No big prizes or anything, just a good time with friends at the track.

It's about a 2 hour drive, but I should be able to make it. How picky are they about the scatter shield rule for manuals running 12.99 or faster?

 

You should be fine - tech inspection isn't that tight at Lapeer.

Hope to see you there. We usually have good air that day so some new PB's come out of the day. We have a mix of new first timers coming out and experienced racers as well.

 

Thought I'd bump this up as a reminder. Saturday, November 3. Good times with friends, nothing formal as far as awards, we just get together annually.

This year we should have a batch of Gen5 Camaros to take on also, and John of course will be there with the 12 second Flex.

One more week. With the storm out east we could see some nice cool temperatures - let's hope the wind isn't strong out of the west. If we get cool temps and no headwind could see many personal bests.

 

Had a great time at SACOTC yesterday. Met Dennis from here for the first time, thanks for making the drive over from Kalamazoo and joining us. It was cold so traction was an issue - had to heat the tires up pretty good. We never know what we will get for this get together, last year we were in T-shirts and this year in parkas!

Got a new personal best on the car though with the cold air. My goal was to finally break it into the 13's with just a tune and lighter wheels and no problem with that at all yesterday.
