What are the tint laws in Michigan? And do people actually get pulled over for over tinting?

 

i know if the cps cant see you, they'll pull you over and your supposed to have a prescription for it. I had a buddy who ended up having to remove the tint to avoid fines. Also, radar detectors are legal in Michigan, but i know in some other states such as Illinois they are not.

 

back window and back side windows no problem....you could paint them black if you want....windshield no way...and front windows you could PROBABLY go VERY light tint....but yes the police need to be able to see the driver and passenger at night.

 

I wouldnt even mess with it in the front windows unless you can get a doc to write you a prescription saying you need it. I got pulled over 3 times in under a year (I'm in grand rapids) and thats when i finally said screw it and took the tint off my front windows. You could probably run 35% and be ok, but its hard to say. I think mine was 15% or 20% so i was just asking for it, haha.
