what year car do you have????? because if its a newer stang then they just hook the thing up to your gas cap and they never even look down there so you MIGHT get away with it.

97+ cars only get checked by the computer

my part... and alot of places in illinois have emissions (places near chicago and chicago i know)

NEW LAW FOR ILLINOIS! As of Feburary 2007, there will be no emissions testing for vechicles with a model year of 95 or below. Testing has been switched over to OBDII and is no longer going to be tested with a Dyno.

Environmental Progress - Summer 2005????????

This has been for a while if Im not mistaking. You could in the past fail the OBDII part of the test and given a 2nd chance to pass on the dyno, but I think that quit that.
my 95 tbird was OBDone, fast past even at 250k miles

 

+1 on that.
