Anyone know where I can get some 3.73's installed reasonably in Chicagoland? What did you pay? and where did you take it?

 

Cant help you with a place to go but the cost will be between $150 - $200 at most places

 

I don't have a place yet but my friend is taking over a shop and he's going to do a custom performance shop. He was a Ford mechanic for almost 15 years. So at least he know's what he's doing. His shop is going to open in mid October. Not sure if you can wait that long but if so let me know and I'm sure he'll be more than glad to do the work for ya.

 

I can wait....I just got the car a few weeks ago, so there are other thinngs I can do first....let me know ...where is his shop going to be? Where was he a ford mechanic?

 

I don't remember exactly where the shop is, but it's about 15-20 minutes outside of the loop towards the northwest. I'll get more specifics later.

 

i took my car to sessler ford in libertyville, and they installed it for cheap, and they were really quick about it.

did you buy the gears from them, or did you have your own parts? how much for the install? who was your contact there?

 

Did you ever call up my friend at his shop for the gear install? Did you get your gears installed or what?
