I go to college in flint. I personally do all the work on my car in the pole barn. So I cant help ya with who to take your car to.

Yes there are a lot of members from northern metro Detroit and we have a regular group that gets together at the track and for cruises and Woodward get-togethers. Last year we went to Lapeer Dragway quite a bit. I think you said you don't like to go to Lapeer, didn't you? A few guys wanted to go to Milan but we never did go last year.

If gas hits $4.00 I might be limiting my driving and racing activities though. [:'(] Keep watching the Detroit posts if your interested in meeting up.

i still have the mirada, but i broke the bottom end, so its stored in PA right now. i recall that i was invited, but i dont have anything right now that will keep up with the rest of you and i dont want you guys to have to keep waiting up for me...


i have been thinking about a M&G for the area, as we also have members in windsor, and northern ohio, as well as some members across the state who come out here from time to time. i didnt want to do it at a track, because some people dont want to race, and because of that they wont come to a track. as dumb as it may sound, ive spoken to a guy from another site who didnt want to go to a track M&G because he didnt want to race, and didnt want to seem like a puss for not racing...so i was thinking about something like a bbq, etc...there are some nice *** areas at stoney creek metro park, or we could look at some other, similar areas that arent in a metropark.

 

Thats a great idea. Metropolitan Beach is a another possibility. Lots of parking available. Count me in if it doesn't conflict with my family functions. Why don't you start a thread and get the ball rolling. Let everyone contribute ideas and locations. Once thats done we could have a new thread to vote on a selection of sites. Obviously there's no rush but it will give us something to think about during the winter.
