hows the meet coming along, alls i know is its prolyl going to be at or near Milan, with a dagstrip i think.

dont know for sure, have to wait for a cordinator to get on this thread...

This is an old thread but I better get on it. Never been to a drag strip but would like to try it. Any suggestions?

yeah..dont go to lapeer...its a dump...

shelby twp here...i see a ton of nice mustangs around here..i figure that some of them are on MF..i dont know why i waited so long to speak up...

 

Whoa! thats where I was going to go, but they close after Dec 3rd I think. Have to wait til spring I guess. Whats wrong with Lapeer? Where do you go racing, Milan? Are there any other 1/4 mile tracks in our area? I think I heard of one in the thumb area somewhere.

 

lapeer is the worst track that ive ever been to...the track is in poor condition...they do not prep the track...there are no time boards, so you dont know what anyone runs, and they have a tendancy to lose the slips, which you have to pick up in the snack bar, as there is no time slip booth. its in the middle of no where, and the roads around it are awful. the pits are all dirt...they have some cheap-o tree instead of an LED or even an older bulb tree.

since having moved here, i have not been to milan..i was there a few years ago when i lived in PA. i race at norwalk more than anything...its about two hours from me...and its a NICE track, great pits, and its pretty fast.

 

Thanks for the heads up about Lapeer. Knowing where its located I had a feeling it might be on a dirt road. My Mustang is alergic to dirt so I guess I'll be going to Milan come spring.
