The law says no tint on the driver and passenger side windows or windshield. You can try, but most people will get a ticket at some point. Good news is that it's not a moving violation and the fine is $75.

 

so is it like i get tint here move there and may or may not pay 75 dollers adn thn thatl be the end of it? or is it everytime i get pulled over until i get it taken off

 

You will get a ticket every time you are pulled over $75 each time. You can go to court and fight it, by showing a pic of your car with the tint removed and the ticket miht get thrown out.

 

eh.. guess iam not gettn tint lol i saw on chicago mustang club that alot of ppl say that u can get away with 35% tint is that true or just not worth the risk?

 

Ive got 20% on the sides and 5% on the back, and have had no problems from the cops as of yet. Most people in my area can get away with anything above 20%, but i live in a low crime area and im guessing that has somthing to do with it. Maybe a city like Chicago with more crimes may be more strict on tint.

 

eh i guess il just use the money on a grille delete or somethn then seems like it might be too much trouble
