Sad Sad news
Our president and friend Neil Holcomb passed away on Friday.
In short, they discovered bacteria in his bloodstream that went into septic shock. They tried everything to get his breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure back in order and stable, but his heart was too weak from the infection and the respiratory distress. He passed away on Friday afternoon, May 15. Pat and Joe and our friend John Wagner who Neil met at Ford were with me when he passed.
The details of his memorial service:
Saturday, May 23rd at the Santeiu & Son Funeral Home, 1139 Inkster Rd., Garden City (between Ford & Cherry Hill). 10am to 1pm will be the visiting/reminiscing time, and then the service will be at 1pm.
This will be a celebration of his life and all our love for him.

Words just cannot express how shocked I was when I heard. Neil was a good guy and this came way too early. Cancer truly sucks.
It's going to take a lot to cover the effort that Neil put into the club. The board is really going to have their hands full, especially organizing Mustang Memories. I would encourage anybody who can help to step up and assist in any way they can. Every little bit helps. Board members put in a LOT of work on their own time to keep the club going and organize the events that we all enjoy. They really need for people to step up now.
I'll be at the service on Saturday and the car's coming rain or shine.

Sorry to hear, condolences to his wife and family.
Shirley and I got the chance to speak
to him a little at April's superbowl party.
What a special person he was.
He made the meetings fun. We will miss him...

I will be there! How sad! Was he struggling with health issues before? He was pretty darn young!!!
Is there anything I can do for his family? Do they need ANYTHNIG?
We should setup a charity road rally to raise funds for his family or his favorite charity in Memorial to him!!! Or maybe something at Mustang Memories? Like calling the MOCSEM area Neil’s Corral!!!
RIP – Neil! You will be missed!
Prayer out to his friends and family!!!
P.S. Those are some special and BIG shoes to fill for MOCSEM!

For 08Steeda at the MRT open house May 30th 9am-3pm I'm running a Neil Holcomb fund and that will either go to a charity kathy (his wife) chooses or if she needs anything recouped from the funeral and I have also came up with something special that I will be doing.

I was shocked and very sad when I heard the news about Neil. Even though I did not have the chance to get to know Neil as much as I would have liked to, the times I did talk with him and what I did know of him I thought he was a nice person. I know that him and Kathy put alot of time and effort into the club. I know that he will be missed by all!!
I will be in the upper peninsula this weekend for my neices graduation so unfortunately I will not be able to attend this weekend but John will be there. I would like to take this time to send my condolences to Kathy and his family.
Prayer: Heavenly father please welcome Neil into your kingdom and may you watch over his wife and family. Please give them strength in their time of need. Amen
