Default Alternative Auto Fall Dyno Day 9-26-09

I was on Lidio's site getting the address for someone and noticed an announcement for the fall dyno day on September 19, 2009.

I plan to head over to get some numbers on the Xcharge'd V6 - might as well do it on the dyno day to get the numbers rather than scheduling a separate session for now. Sometime this winter I'll have Lidio do a full custom tune for me.

It looks like Lidio moved the dyno day. His website says a week later, September 26 now.

the link says 9/19/09 and the website itself says the 26th....didn't we have this problem with the last one?

I talked to Lidio the other day, and he said it's on the 26th now.

I went over to Alternative Auto today for Lidio's Fall Dyno Day. I have been running the email tune that comes with the Xcharger and haven't had a chance to turn it over to Lidio yet for a custom tune - although that will probably not happen until the intercooler comes out for the Xcharger later this year. Looking at the data, there is a lot left on the table with the base tune - very rich AFR (10.0 at WOT) and it was still pulling hard when Lidio got to the rev limiter.

Saw this and everyone was crowded around saying "look at the torque that thing is putting down!" But if you look closely you can see that the tach signal was messed up. Lidio tried a second pull and thought he had the tach signal fixed.

So he made some more adjustments and said "let's do another pull, I think the tach signal is reading correctly now"

I know that there is a lot more we can get out of it, it is tuned to be very safe right now. Once the intercooler is out, and I can get it and install it, then Lidio will dyno tune the car to get the most out of it.

And a couple of videos - hard to hear the exhaust note with the supercharger whine!

And this is one of the first passes a couple Saturday's ago after I installed the Xcharger

Best pass so far on the X is a 13.8 - still trying to figure out how to launch with the boost. On nitrous of course it was a N/A launch and then the nitrous would come on (netting me a 13.6 on the juice), but the Xcharger builds boost so quick that I am into a couple of pounds just trying to bring the RPM's up.
