They have kits for exactly that. Keep in mind being a 2004 with a carburated engine that car is going to have some special emissions regulations. It will also have some serious impacts on your car insurance since that engine wasn't even an option in the new edge. Unless you bought it from saleen.
P.S. Now that I think about it Saleen probably makes a kit too.

As someone who has delt with performance "street cars" in Texas, it's not worth it. It will get him and you in legal trouble big time if you ever get pulled over. Plus, your insurance won't cover it as a 'street car' legally - so you'd be hit with that as well. While I was there, I was part of several cases where a swap was done and passed. The issuing state inspection agent lost his certification and got slapped with fines, the owner of the vehicle was hit with driving a vehicle no inspection, no registration and no valid insurance all at the same time. A few were also hit with insurance fraud by not notifying the insurance company that the V6 was now a V8.
How much power are you hoping to make that you can't just boost the V6?? Are you even aware of power options with your current motor?

Windsors make awsom power when done right, I'm currently looking to pick up a 99-09 shell to drop in a good ole carbed 400m motor just because i have it sitting around, but i much rather do a H/C/I 408 or 427 windsor, thats the nice NA power. theres no emissions in my county either and can always just register it as a modified vehicle on the title.

@LilRoush Can you not get a custom title and insure it that way in Texas? I do totally agree though that if he does go in and just gets it passed someone will get fried if anyone figures out what happened. Also asking why you want a 351 instead of a 232 is like asking why 12 beers is better than 6.

As for the other question, I ask b/c I'm sick of the people who have a V6 and are shooting for stock 302/351 power or a little better and are under the impression the V6 is worthless to get there. In reality the stock motor with boost is good to 350-400 (depending on condition of the motor and tune). And you can get to those figures a lot easier (and 100% street legal) for far less $$ than trying to pull a swap like this. If you want more power than that, it's still usually the case (98% of the time) the stroked V6 and a power adder will get you there.
