Default Torn. Advice please.

Hey guys, I'm at a dilemma. I just purchased my 07 GT convertible back in Nov. It has 105k on it now and runs great. I've put the Airaid race CAI and Bama tuner on t, as well as having another load of cosmetic goodies to go with it (see signature for complete list). I'm torn between adding a supercharger or going with the full coyote swap. The reason I am hesitant is because of a high mileage engine with a supercharger on it. Curios as to what all would be involved in a full motor swap or should I just have the stock one rebuilt when it comes time? I plan on keeping this car for the long haul because I love it, have put work into it, and love the payments, but I have been tempted by a 2009 GT500 at my local dealership with just under 39k on it. Local trade by an older gentleman who was tired of climbing in and out of it. Only bad side is my payments would go up and I would lose the aftermarket parts I've already put in on mine (mainly tires and rims and CAI). What y'all think?

If you love everything about your 07 GT, except are wanting more power. Than I thought a supercharger would be a solid route to take. The 3v engines can last for along time if they've been well taken care of. As you also mentioned, if the time comes and you need/want to build the bottom end for more boost, you can certainly do so!

A coyote swap is also a cool option. The easiest way to go about that is picking up a Ford Racing Coyote Crate Engine Control Pack. It comes with all the necessary PCM electronics needed and air intake. Swapping to a coyote engine is going to be pricey, so keep that in mind.

Hope this helps with your decision some. If you have more questions or concerns, feel free to contact me!

Thanks Shane! I was just hesitant about the SC on a higher mileage engine. Like I said, I love my payments because they allow more money for mods. GT500s are just so tempting though.

I hear ya man. GT500's are wicked cars! It just comes down to how much you like your current Mustang. I have a few friends that still own their very first Mustangs and other muscle cars. Those guys are completely attached and wouldn't trade up for anything. If that sounds like you, than a built motor would be the way to go!

Yeah, I completely understand. I did some number crunching and with a size able down payment, I'd still be paying almost 100 more a month for a year longer than my current car. I can think of plenty of goodies for that amount of money.

Well, I bit the bulet and went with the GT500. Can't believe I got such a good deal on trade in after having my car for only 4 months. Aftermarket does pay off sometimes. Better yet, have the 100k powertrain warranty and the car is an 09 with 38k on it. Couldn't be happier with all part involved.
