07 4.0 Mustang Motor Swap

Hey guys,
This is the first time I have ever even used a forum but I have a problem that my dad and I just can't figure out. normally when you pull a motor out, There are bolts that you have to undo not only from the transmission but also the torque converter. that being said there normally a plate at the bottom of the transmission that enables you to (while someone is cranking the motor for you to reach all the bolts) remove all of the bolts from the torque converter through the little "peep hole" however my mustang does not have the plate to enable me to do that. So my question is, how do I go about removing the engine from the Transmission?

Any help is welcome. Thanks.

Also, Very important that I forgot. My Mustang is a 2007 V6 4.0. all I'm doing is pulling the motor out.

Turn the crankshaft using a socket inserted into the front "snout" of the shaft, where the harmonic balancer is. Be careful not to damage the crankshaft position sensor there which "looks" at a toothed wheel.

I would love to say mine is not broke but there is a connecting rod that blew so I feel the need to pull it out to fix it. But thank you! that actually helps a lot.
