I’m sure this has been asked before but I figured I get a fresh answer on the topic, please!! My 04 GT motor blew so I currently am looking to replace. I have the motor currently at a shop that was planning to rebuild it stronger to hold about 10-12 LB of boost. I was quoted about 12k for just the motor. My plan was to keep the rest of the car the same for now and not have to worry about swapping out wiring harnesses and all kinds of stuff. I would like to get around 5-600 hp. I’ve done all kinds of searching like a summit or jegs motor but I was told I need a low compression engine and the heads need to be 2v. Do you guys have any other recommendations to get where I wanna be for less than 12k on my gt motor?
