RE: 78 Mustang II
i dont need em, but never throw them away. i actually sold an old pair of V8 mounts on ebay for like 75.00 that had the rivets drilled out and replaced with bolts to tighten up the sloppy rubber.
somehow, by the grace of god i imagine - i came across a brand new set FROM A FORD DEALER. hell, may be the last ones around anywhere, and this place had 1 set layin on the shelf.
whoo hoo for me!!!!

Well I managed to turn engine over.. now have cleaned out inside of all the trim and panels that lay aournd....washed and cleaned and put aside, not sure if all pieces there.... On closer look at engine I see that headers rusted badley and carb definetly needs work, if it wasn't so frigin cold I could get at it...damn. Also noticed what I think is break fluid or trans fluid on garage floor (red) mmmmh!!!....crap.
So I need to get something to do or go crazy....What is best idea pull carb and work inside (warmer)to rebuild or get new? what will give me morekick![sm=drooldude.gif] Oh got batteries fo Camera pics soon.

red is tranny fluid, first guess is a tranny pan gasket or a front or rear seal - but prolly the pan gasket which is cheap and easy to fix.
personally, i'd take the carb in the house where its warm and spend 20 or 30 bucks on a rebuild kit and buy yourself a gallon can of carb cleaner / chemdip (carefull with that stuff it IS NASTY on your skin)
im sure if you take your time tearing it down you'll do ok putting it back together and at least you'll be able to try and run the thing a little so you know where your at.
