Hi! I am posting here trying to help my father-in-law! He is not very computer savvy and I am not car savvy, so please bear with me! He has a 74 Mustang II hatchback and is looking for a front valance. From what I have found so far it seems it is year specific and 75-78 will not fit. Is this correct? If so, do you guys know of anywhere I can find the right part?

i know there are *some* things that are different between 74 and 75-78 but i was not aware the valance was one of them. frankly, i dont even know if anyone makes a repo piece (i know they DO make front spoilers). check with phils specialty shop in alabama (just google that for his number, he'll know for sure and probably has one

 

OK, I must be a moron! I can't find anything for Phil's Specialty Shop on Google or Yellowpages.com...What could i be doing wrong??

E-Mail pschmidt65@prodigy.net..................... the 74 valance is 74 only for the fact they didnt put a v-8 in 74 thats why 75 -78 work on them years and there is two different part types one has spoiler holes i believe started in 76 with the cobra II could be wrong and prob am and on some models with the spoiler they have extra brake holes in them to cool the brakes dowm because the spoiler blocks most of the air going to them
