Default 78 cobra

I found a 78 Cobra, I was thinking of buying for a project for my son and I. I am currently doing a 67 convertible myself and though it would be cool for two generations to work on two generations of Stang, My question is I am not sure what to offer this farmer. Do 2s have the same problems as old ones? What should I look at to make sure it is ok? Like frame rails on mine are abig issue is this the same for the newer ones? I am trying to post pic,

wow that thing looks rough. check the floor pans, wheel wells, basically all the regular places. mine has holes under the battery tray and near the door hinges in the door jam (but mine is a t-top car and may be the cause of those holes)

maybe offer him a couple hundred bucks? EVERYTHING looks like its gonna need to be redone
