ok i rarely visit this section of the site and there may have been previous posts about the 09 mustang, but i wanted to know if anyone knows the specs, or have "pics" or knows anything about it

 

all I know is there will be a all new Mustang for 09 to Compete with the Camaro. The New Mustang will be less retro looking and more modern.

Boooo I like retro.

 

The resdesign for 09 won't be a total overhaul. It will simply be an evolution of the current S197 bodystyle. Ford isn't gonna spend the money to completely remake the body. The changes will not be any more extreme than the ones that took place between the 98 and 99 models. So yea, you can expect to still see a retro front end and fastback roofline.

I know this isn't an official concept. But I feel its a good representation of the kind of changes one could expect Ford to make from the 08 to 09 year model:

yeah i agree. its def a welcome update to a perfect body style. looks like a small built in ducktail spoiler....pretty cool. more agressive "face" or fromt fascia....like more inward leaning, sorta like the GT500...obviously this is just some guys opinion but i sure wouldnt complain if it was close to this.

 

Unless that biatch has a 350-400 bhp engine............umm no thank you...

 

I hope they do decide to add some more power to the base model GT. Maybe we will get luky and we will see a few more cubes out of the current 3-valve. By then I would hope Ford will have also a more suitable go between car other than the Shelby GT.

 

thisbloods pics looks more like wut it will prolly look like than tht one concept everyone keeps looking at...fords biggest change will prolly be adding more hp =P and maybe putting the 03-04 cobra engines into the gt's...

 

retro is what we like,retro is what we want,retro should be the mustang... <---- looks

enough with the 4.6 we want 5.8 or 6.2... we need the hurrican motors.. <---- power

since it was born it was rear wheel.. and rear wheel it should still be but improved and lighter wieght the suspension should be.<-- suspension

retro interior is what we have and we like the looks of it.. but whats in for entertainment ? shaker isnt that good and changing lights isnt enough... at least a tv,dvd,navigtation system and a g-force monitor better quality leather seats.... no more plastic dashboards ... it should be covered with leather... yess black leather with coloured stiches... <--- interior..


ahh... im going to get the 2011 svt cobra anyway ... 5 years are left ...
