Default Unlikely or Ungodly Union: 1000hp Vette Powered Mustang

Check out today's homepage article detailing the most unlikely of engine swaps. Is this is an affront to all things sacred? Or is this just one mean track-eating machine?

i have seen plenty of ls1 ls2 swaps into alot of new edge mustangs. as sacrilegious as it seems, i love those ls motors. would i choose one for my s197, no way. but if i had a v6 or weaksauce gt i would surely consider it

I'm going with a healthy dose of both. There is no doubt that it's fast as hell, but I'm not touching it!

He could have bought a GT500 and easily got enough power out of it to beat a ZR1. Seems like a big waste of money to me.

Huge waste of money. I hate to say it, but that mustang platform is not on the same level as that racing engine. Sure there are mustang owners out who have darn near as much HP, but I highly doubt their engine is built as tough or cost nearly as much.

I saw some C5-R race cars at the Petite Le Mans last year. They sounded awesome and were straight badass.
