Default Watch Lava From The Kilauea Volcano Swallow A Ford Mustang In Hawaii

Lava from the Kilauea volcano has been creeping across Hawaii’s Big Island for days now, after the Los Angeles Times reports that volcanic instability began last Monday. On its slow but destructive path, the lava has consumed more than 26 homes, affected 1,800 residents and swallowed an abandoned Ford Mustang.

I didn't see anything get swallowed up, thanks for the hype... I guess we have
to play the actual swallowing up of the car in our heads... What a let down...

My guess is that the nearby residences were evacuated long before the news crew showed up to record this, and they must have taken another car instead of this one. Even if safety protocols allowed somebody to run out there and drive it away before the lava reached it, there probably wasn't anyone around with keys.
