After months of not knowing, the power figures for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 are finally here. The supercharged V8 will put out 760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque. Basically, it’s enough to drag down the moon.

Car should be ****in quick, wonder how it compares to the GT350 on a track with turns.

From another article I read, the base model GT500 is good for drag. The upgraded version with the performance pack they offer and a few ricer boy body panels (including shopping cart wing) can turn as well and more deigned for track duty.

I'm still fairly certain that both have the ability to actually turn. But don't quote me on that.

This isn't the exact article but this points out some of the differences. My point is, if you don't pay attention to comparisons you may find a significant difference in camparos by the various car mags and sites. I would expect the Track package to add a little more to the Figure 8 speed and G's as well as do better on a track (duh) than a base model. Whereas the drag performance would be equal between the base model and upgraded models...
