The 2021 Mustang GT Premium is still a great sports car, but all the new tech drives up the price. (And Ford actually made the Performance Package WORSE this year!)

You are correct in your assesment that optioning up a GT to the level of a MACH 1 will cost you $55K. I just did this exercise about two weeks ago and yup. $55K for a decked out GT.

But, good luck finding a MACH1 and even better luck getting it for anywhere near MSRP of 55K. You could order it exactly how you want it but considering Ford is not telling how many they are/will build means, you'll be fighting demand as well.
