how could he get better mpg then a stock one by a lot?...but damn them things are fast

 

The 6spd helps alot. When I first bought my Imp new, I was getting @22-24mpg on the highway. Now I had done some decent mods I got an avg of 30 going out to Utah from Tennessee, with the wife and 2 kids, granted I put the rearend with the 3.08's back in it for the trip. I probably would've gottten even better if I had a 6spd.

 

Everyone would get better with a 6 speed...

 

Poor Vipers lol . They stuck in the mod department almost, !!! Best Bang for the bucks are the LS1s and the new 03 Cobras and 04s. When purchasing in the department areas.

Ya, even my TA tacks around 2200rpm at 100ish mph....in 6th gear of course.
