Many of you make videos for your cars, so if you guys could let me know what computer program and equipment you use to make the videos then that would be great. Keep in mind i want to have those cool features too, like fading in and out, cutting and pasting parts of the video, putting in text, background music, etc...Where could i find the program and software you use and how much would it run me? Thanks in advance to all that help out.

It takes a little space, but I have a laptop so I was expecting it to slow down a little. But its an awsome program.

Yeah i would be using it on my laptop as well. How did you get the film on the computer? Does the program come with what you need to set your camcorder up to the PC or do you need to use a certain kind of recorder?

Well I bought a digital camcorder that has fire wire caability. So all I had to do was invest in a firewire adaptor for my laptop and the firewire itself. I think I paid close to $1100 for my setup which includes the camera, tape, firewire and adaptor. You may have to do it through the USB. But once you get the program installed it will walk you through what you have to do. Firewire is the best though.

Pinnacle 9 is by far the easiest to use... not the greatest as far as capabilities but its the easiest to use... watch the help and you will learn 95% of what you need to know in 10 minutes. Its a VERY buggy software though - but great for beginners and hobbyiest. I use it because I can't damn figure out Adobe
