I realize this video has little to do with this section other than the fact that its TIRES that are being burned here. But to update, I purchased 18x9 Shelby Torq Thrust M wheels by American Racing, wrapped in Sumitomo HTRZ II's. So I will put those pics up tomorrow when it gets lighter out.

It's really no worse than spending a night at the dragstrip. Do you consider that abuse too?

 

To each his own. Is your car auto or 5sp? You should of caught 2nd gear and hit 60mph. Ive been told that makes a nice smoke show. Line lock kit is your friend for burnouts.

 

Mine's auto. yeah, line lock would be nice. But it's not really next on my list of mods either.

What??? your putting your whole drivetrain through a lot more than just WOT drag racing. Especially your tranny. You failed mr...[sm=badidea.gif]

 

Plz, you do a brakestand at the track to heat your tires up, then you go wide open for about 13 or so seconds just to mash your brake pedal in the shut-down lane. Then do it again, and again. And that's just so you can get a good dial-in. Then if you actually race that night too? You can count on a lot more "abuse" then I did in either of those videos. (especially if you drive with slicks). But I'm one of those people who believes their car is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest. SO I'll continue to lightly use my car until I get a supercharger. (You wanna talk about abuse, yet you left out SC's)
