what do they plan to do?
What could they possibly do with all that horsepower besides dyno pulls?

RE: what do they plan to do?
They could win an award for the longest turbo lag ever I guess?
Huge turbos and dyno pulls, that all Supras seem to be good for.
I wonder if they connect the turbines on a 747 to a Supra engine as a turbo and then spin a propeller with it, maybe the plane will go faster?

I dont think you guys watched it too closely. There was a good reason for that car....
They were starting their own business. They were going to deliver groceries.....REALLY, Really, reeeally fast. It is the conveinence that makes people want that kind of service. Groceries in about 48 sec. hahahahaa

It sounded pretty cool to me. Besides, aren't you supposed to start off conservatively when making a dyno run? If he had been getting into the boost early on he might have been spinning the tires on the dyno. I've seen it happen with 1000+ HP Grand Nationals. Looked like he was purposefully staying out of the boost until he was in a higher gear. I could be wrong.

you guys are just jealous that you dont have a 1500 hp car.
that car is probably less than 8.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile, something that you will never reach.
No, It would outhandle you and your car any time any day.
On those cars there is very little turbo lag, if not any.
I would love to see what that could not do in the 1/4

^^^
Precisely. What do you think it takes to get Foxes into the 8's?
If you guessed in the neighborhood of 1500 hp, you are correct.
A Fox owner who I watched run low 8's at the track showed me his small block, single turbo, 1600 hp. setup.
Maybe that's what they are planning to do with it.
And you don't need to run at full boost/WOT for any more than a moment on the dyno, anyway, esp. not w/ that much power

I would love to see that car out handle a mustang GT. hell I could pedal a bicycle around that track before that thing. Here is a big hint for you 1520RWHP not a racetrack car maybe a dragstrip one. Lets grow up and think before we fly off the handle.

RE: what do they plan to do?
the beautiful thing about turbo's is that you can dial down the boost and not have all 1520 horses under your right foot just in case you want to run the twisties.
Who knows what his suspension setup is?? He might've built for drag, he might've built for auto-x, he might not've done anything too specific at all! he might just want to be able to say he has 1520 hp!!
I've seen 1000ish hp Supras run astounding times at Loudin (sp?) International Speedway auto-x track, and they apparently handled like a dream....
I have also seen stock-suspended ones handle like a complete disaster.
FWIW, I'm certainly no expert....
