Automatic advice
Hey, Im new to the forums. im currently looking for a 96-98 mustang gt. Ive found one n great shape and includes a warrenty for a good price the only differnce is that its not a stick, i have been looking for a while and the only other ones in stick are not nearly in as good of condition and dont come with warrentys. Any advice is appreciated.
The only thing good about an auto is you can buy a shift kit and stall converter and make it just as quick as a manual, but it costs alittle money. How much is it and how many miles are on it?
Well aotu tranny's in those cars don't hold up to mods without doing clutching internally and a valve body job(shift kit)
Don't be fooled when people say automatics don't get beat on as much as a manual cause they are wrong. Automatics are beat on worse than sticks. With powerbraking and tear drops (going in reverse at 10-15mph and then throwing it in drive and mashing the gas) Alot of people do this without realizing the damage it sustains. Like backing out of a driveway and throwing it into drive without the car fully stopped! I have a 1997 GT 73,000mi. 5 speed Gold w/black leather excellent shape 1 owner car and paid $5800. (I had to put $300 in it in minor cosmetics) They are out there.
