Ive got 99 problems...
Hey, i'm kinda new (I read but never post) and I think its time I start asking questions and getting some help - mabye help some people in the process. I was going to take a bunch of pictures of my cherry red mustang and show it off with some snazey photoshopped siggy. But, going with the 2006 "single worst year of my life " trend I found my car shoved up the back of a green Accord. Airbags deployed, tailpipe an inch inside my front bumber, grille busted, hood bent (no longer opens!). And worse.. brand new headlights (about a week old) busted!
Right now, I have the dash taped up, the hood jammed on, and the grille torn off. The headlights are working - but the clips in the back shatterd, good thing for ductape!!
Everybody told me to sell my car (99 35th aniversery v6 Automatic) but I'm not giving up. Right now I have over 700$ saved for the airbags. This I will use to pass inspection. After inspection I will replace the bumper and hood with a new look (aftermarket) The headlights I think I might be able to salvage with some type apoxy or glue. Once the cars back to normal I might consider engine and transmission modifications. Once thats all ready, its time for a paint job!
The car is drivable, it recently was re-alighned. The only IMMEDIATE problem is the brakes (they were 80% of the problem!). Money is tight! I'm working at my local Shopright pulling 7.25 an hour for about 12 hours a week [my hours were cut down from 42
]
Its allot of hardwork, but Im sure I can work this out. I used to search function and didnt find many good weabsites for bodykits or interior kits. Can anybody help me out with this? All the ones i found were EXPENSIVE!! and they were really far from my location (New Jersey) so the shipping costs are kinda high. Also does anybody have some tips for me? All my friends claim to have hookups for cheap parts, but they dont give much effort to help me... Thanks everybody!

Welcome and glad your gonna start posting. If I were you, I would've had that thing totalled. Most laws require you to have the airbags still in the car if you were gonna be driving it. I doubt you could get rid of it to a dealer, but I would try or try and sell it outright. Good luck.
Sorry to hear about your car. [&:]
Come on over to the v6 section, there's a lot of guys who have aftermarket kits that can point you in the right direction. You can get all the tech help you need there.

it cost me 8,000$ to buy. One of my moms co-workers sold it to me for $8,000 with 11,000 miles on it so you can see why Im not giving the car up so easily. From what I understand is it was originally his retirement present. His wife fell in love with the car and used it for work but she quickly stopped driving it because of space issues (lots of transporting) . It sat in thier driveway for about a year, so I took it off thier hands. Lucky Me! not many people get a dirt cheap perfect condition mustang.. and not many people crash a dirt cheap perfect mustang
