Hey everyone
hey everyone, i just joined up and wanted to make my presence known. currently i do not own a Mustang, but i am looking at a 2002 GT at a local dealership.
I do have a question for all of you though, and I really need input fast as I'm supposed to go down to the dealership tomorrow to close the deal on this car.
Here is the run-down on it...
2002 Mustang GT 4.6L V8
Red exterior
Gunmetal mustang wheels
Black leather interior
35,xxx miles
the interior/exterior/engine compartment/trunk are all immaculate and look like brand new.
Well, here is my question....
The car is an automatic....what is everyones opinions on that? I know that its ultimately up to me and all, but I would really like some input from some actual Mustang owners. I do alot of in-town driving.....actually, it makes up for about 90% of my driving and its alot of stop and go, light to light stuff. I have never owned a standard tranny car, but have driven quite a few, including a buddies old 98 SVT Cobra (which was pure hormones on wheels).
I just can't decide whether to scoop up this car, which by the way is an amazing car and drives perfectly, or wait it out and try to find a manual tranny GT. My biggest fear is passing up this car and not being able to find another one as nice and for as good of a price as I'm gonna get this one.
Please give me some input guys....and hopefully here soon I'll be able to post up some pics of a Mustang
Oh, and if anyone is interested in what I drive now........
its a 98 S-10 custom.........dont hate me too much lol

RE: Hey everyone
my stang is an automatic (02 GT), and there's soooo many times i wish it were manual.. but when i purchased it i knew it would be my daily driver and living out here in SoCal, an auto sounded good to me, i now have a new daily driver and might possibly sell my stang and look for a cobra. i also think having an auto just takes the fun away from driving a stang, just my opinion

RE: Hey everyone
I have an auto and I don't have any problems with mine mechanically or me just hating it. Sure, it'd be fun to have a stick, but the power you'll have in the GT will make you much more happy than worrying about the tranny.
