2001 Cobra
After a lifetime I have purchased my second Mustang. This will be my daily driver.
I'm not very encouraged though...
The SES light came on before I got 4 miles away from the dealership.
I stopped at AutoZone and they pulled the code. Number two cylinder missfire. I'm taking it back in the morning. We'll see.

Thanks for the reply!
The dealership made good on the SES light. They said that their tech got the coils wet when he power washed the engine.
The coils have a cover and the cover has a gasket...go figure. In any event whatever they did fixed the problem. They even addressed a alignment issue that I had a concern over.
I've had the car of two days and all seems well...but...
In my surfing I have discovered that these cars have a signature plate on the valve cover signed by the guys that built the engine...my engine has no such plate. What exactly does that mean? And how can I find the history of this car. Has the engine been replaced? Carfax returned no flags when I was checking out he car. You'd think something like that would make the list. But since I'm new to Fords I didn't know the inticacies of SVT vehicles. I'm wondering what other surprises are in store for me?
I have phone numbers for Ford SVT and SVTOA that I will be calling Monday. Are there any sites on the web where I can find some info about my car, these cars...build sheets, or even a list of options or equipment that's supposed to be on this car?

I talked to SVT today and learned that mine has a born on date of April 10 2001 which makes it number 402 of 3867; and 1 of 347 Zinc Yellow coupes. He told me in spite of the missing signature plate on the valve cover it's still the original engine. That's good news.
I took it over to Mike Duffy's shop and got his blessing. Of course the first thing he said was..."needs a blower"! I guess I should have expected that from him! LOL
