Default Potential New Owner

Hello!!!
Well, it looks like I am trading in the highly-modded Grand Prix GTP and joining the dark side. I just test drove a M5 2006 Mustang GT Convertible and fell in love instantly. The purchase is not completely finalized but should be by the end of this week. She's beautiful.... bright blue with tan interior (goes well with my yellow labrador and her constant shedding), 18" premium wheels, Shaker 1000, etc. The only thing that I am not completely sold on is that the soft-top is also tan (parchment its called I believe??). How difficult is it to swap out that top for a black one? I know that is opening a huge can of worms but hey, i gotta ask.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and warn you that I might be around for awhile trying to learn from all of you about my "potential" new baby stang. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures once she is put into her new stable!!

Welcome to the forum! If you have any questions on buying a new stang, head over to the 2005+ section. The owners over there would be glad to help.

Buy some lottery scratchers and pray. No, im only teasing. If they want to make the sale bad enough tell them they can wait, or you will take your business to a different dealership. I did the same and ended up at a different dealership with A LOT better of a deal. All I can say is be patient and everything will fall into place and you will be driving your brand new stang before you know it!

I agree. Dealers play hardball but as soon as you look at another dealer two things will hapen. You will find another pony you love just as much. And someone will cave.
