Default hello from southern california

I would like to say hello to all of my fellow mustang owners out there. I have been lurking in here and decided to register after reading so many cool posts and seeing so many pics of awesome ponies. I recently pulled in some pics of my ride on to my computer and will try to post them this evening, as well make a signature showing my ride like you all, probably will double as my avatar.

I have been a Ford owner all of my life, and I have to say that this is one of the best cars i have ever owned. I cannot wait to get up for work everyday just to drive my stang. I even catch myself often (as fleetwood mac would say) taking the long way home. I look forward to participating in the forum and meeting other fellow pony owners. I have plans to enter my ride in at least one mustang car show at the peterson musem in l.a. in sept, as well as writing a piece about my ride and with some photos submitting it to the mustang rags on the newstand. I have loved mustangs since i was kid, but only really became obsessed with them once i got mine. This is my first mustang. One thing i have to say is that i really cant wait to get another pony, but that is a few years off.
I like all the years some better than others, but the mustang has truly been my dream car for as long as i can remember.

A little about me: Im 35 single and live in los angeles. I have been a stand up comic for 15 years and currently work in the video game business. although i do go on the road to do comedy from time to time, this car will not get the road gigs, for that i will use rentals. I saw my mustang as a investment, and while she is a daily driver, I could not be happier with my ride.

About My Mustang: SHE is a 2006 Black On Black V6 California Pony Package. Under the hood is currently stock, with the only performance mod being a set of Magnaflow Pipes. (i find myself listening to them more than the radio). Cosmetically on the outside, i have painted the side skirts to match the car, added a billet lower grill insert, CDC chin spoiler, chrome bezels on all three brake lights. Inside I have added only a machined lighter plug, and upr pedal covers.
SHE is a manual transmission, and is a daily driver. On a recent trip to Vegas you could say I finally got to open her up and she does go fast.........like 120 fast......LOL. The magnaflows do make a difference! before them pipes, i usually came out of 3rd around 60 mph, and 4th around 80mph (when pushing it, i usually shift between 3000 and 4000 rpms) but now with those pipes, i can easily shift from those gears around 65mph and 85mph respectively. While i am talking about driving her fast, (and i do sometimes) she mostly cruises, and is my daily auto. I hit her with mcgwires quick detail and amor all every three days, she is hand washed about every 3 to 4 weeks, with the underhood being wiped down every 5000 to 7000 miles. she is my baby. you can usually catch me in my stang cruising, in my leather interior and listening to everything from van halen to ac/dc stevie ray vaughn and brian setzer orchestra on my shaker 500. She rides on 17 inch chrome bullit wheels with tri bar pony caps, and pirelli tires.

Plans for the mustang: I do have plans to continue to mod her, with under hood dress up (caps, plenum cover, radiator cover, fuse box cover etc)either 3d carbon side scoops or i am currently trying to find a way to convert some 1966 chrome back panel scoop inserts to fit my 06 (or hoping someone will make some chrome retro scoops for us 05-06 owners soon). Possibly some euro (clear) turn signal markers inthe front. The customizing is done at galpin auto sports where they shoot pimp my ride, and yes i have met many of the crew and a few know me as i am there about once a month. I have plans to eventually upgrade the stereo system, as well as do some interior dress up. In terms of performance once the warranty is up, i plan on definately adding a cold air intake, a front strut brace, and possibly lowering it.

in closing, i do have a website in dire need of an overhaul along with the others i own, i plan on having a webcast when i re-do them, as well as having an area set for my ride on the site, and some new comedy for all to hear. i will keep you all posted as this happens if your intrested.

i have some great mustang moments to share but i will post those in the appropiate thread, i look forward to chattign with you all.

although its going on about 6 months for my pony and i dont race her in the ture sense, i can say that she has an affinity for rice and sauerkraut.

let me say i originally wanted grey, but went with the timeless black, she has no stickers no stripes, im going for an elegant yet fast look. the word mustang only appears on ride 6 times....the liscense plate frames, the door sills, and the floor mats.... hope you all like the phunnymobile. 2006 4.0 v6 comin at ya...

Welcome to the forum! Glad to see you finally got your mustang-- I know once I got mine I was much more obsessed with it than I thought I would be. I've wanted one since I was a little girl and its the best feeling to finally have one.

I'll have to check out some of your comedy stuff-- my uncle lived out in LA for years and does a lot of touring nowadays, I believe he sold his place in LA because he hated it out there after so long. His name is Drew Hastings-- dont' know if you guys have ever met/played together, but perhaps.

Enjoy the forum!!

ummmmm wow talk about a small world.......i too like drew am from cincinnati ohio, and have worked with drew several times over the years, including when i first started, in fact if you mention my name im sure drew wuill remember me.......in fact the last time i saw him was right after his tonight show appearence and we chatted for a bit, he said he was touring a lot and things were doing well for him on bob and tom (radio out of indy) with the jack friedman character.
also i took care of his cat for a short time after i moved here (l.a.), so yes i know drew very well in fact......havent spoken in about a year or so, but i ususally run into him at the improv about once or twice a year. i ve been out of the loop in comedy for about 1.5 yrs since my dad passed away, and i finally am getting back online and working on stage time around town to do material, small world, in fact im gonna bet you and i have probably met at go bananas in cincy sometime in the past as i have met some of his family at shows, we have worked in cincy together a fair amount over the years.......all i can say is wow, with so many on the web and in these forums, what are the odds i meet drews niece......LOL........not only that but a fellow stang owner as well.........nice to meet you again....tell drew i said hey if you can.....
