Hello, I just found this site. It seems like a really nice forum so I decided to join. Well I drive a corvette at the moment but im trading it in and I really want a cobra. I found this beautiful 99 cobra. White. 5 speed. 74,000 miles. It is 8500. Just wondering what you guys think of that. Good deal? It has 14 records for carfax and im debating on whether i want to pay 25 bucks for it. The owner said it was in a "light" wreck. I do'nt no what his def. is of light. I dont think i wanna try on that one. I have been looking around for a little over a month and i still havent found one i like and im running out of time. Any information, tips, on finding one and trouble spots to look for froma private party im willing to listen. Thanks.

If the owner says it was in a light wreck, I'd definitely be paying the money to see what came up on that carfax. In all honesty, it sounds a bit sketchy to me, and you have to remember that it probably was driven hard and may have more problems than meet the eye. If it's in your price range, I'd look at an 03-04 because the 99's were underrated in HP and had some problems with them which you can probably find through google, as I don't know all the specifics on that. Those issues may have been fixed by the owner though. The terminator cobras are plentiful because people are looking into GT500s.
If you have any other cobra questions, I'd check in with the Special Stangs/SVT section-- they can help you out also.

Ok thanks for the information and the warm welcome. All the vette owners I have talked to on the internet seem to talk a bit trashy about you guys and how stuck up you guys are. They were kind of jerks to me as well because I drove a C4 and not a C6...but yea you guys seem like a really nice bunch and im glad to be looking into a mustang.
