hey yall!
hey everyone! i just got a 96 white mustang convertible v6 and there are alot of things i want to do to it to make it look (and sound) better! i did have a teal one as my first car a few months ago but it was a standard and i couldnt drive it. so now i have the convertible (automatic) if yall have ne ideas on what i should be checking out i would really appriciate it!
well.. the stick was more fun.. but ts easier just to drive around in an automatic. we still have the standard and were gonna start to try and sell it soon if anyones interested! lol!<IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">my dad's really more into the mustang than i am and we were wondering what kind of exaust we should put on it to make is sound good with out sounding bad since its a six... ne ideas?
As long as you don't put a fart can on it or run a straight pipe, you will improve the sound.
All of the major exhaust companies have catback kits that will fit the sixer. Check them out.<edited><editID>converted</editID><editDate>37817.4678819444</editDate></edited>

a V6 will never sound anything like a GT, especially a GT headers orwith a completeexhaust set up like i havebecause it has a different firing sequence. even big V10 viper engines don't sound anything like a V8.you want that rumble, you need the V8.no matter what you do to the exhaust, it will always be easy to tell by listening its a V6. but a good flowmaster cat back will make it sound pretty good.<IMG src=smileys/smiley20.gif border="0"></P>
ok thanks! i knew that my v6 could never compare to a v8 but a v8 wasnt my top priority as we just got an infinity g35.do u know of like a website that i could go to to find the flowmasters?
the best thing you can do is go to a local muffler shop, like big Al's if you have them, and buy the flowmaster mufflers from them and have them custom bend your pipes. any reputable shop can do this easily, and most of them stock flowmasters. Big al's here in Va did my flowmaster on my old camaro, and the tips. it's not expensive, and very convienent. for my 97 Z28, it was 214 for the muffler and tips, 263 for a cat back. it might be a little more for a mustang, the mufflers will cost about the same but the cat back piping might be a little more. they did my camaro in about an hour, while i waited.
alright thanks for everything! im gonna check all this stuff out! i live in LA so i dont kno if we have abig als though but i really do appriciate it! im sure ill be back with more questions so keep checkin if you dont mind!<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">
