Default Hello

When I bought my 2006 GT the only thing about it that I did not like was the GT emblem on the front fenders and I wanted to take them off. I asked a good friend of minewho used to own a body shopif there were holes in the fender to ensure correct alignment and he said no they just use two sided tape. So I took them off and sure enough there were two small holes. Since we now had to do some body work I decided to take the door handles off and while doing that I decided to take the emblem and lock off of the trunk lid. I have all that done now and next I plan to take off the antenna and move the gas fill to the trunk. Surprisingly the total cost was under $200, including paint, to do all of this.

I had originally bought a complete shaved kit from a place in Miami. But when I went to install it I could not fish a wire through the conduit from the interior to the door. So I isolated the wire that would unlock the door when I pressed the unlock button on the key fob and used that wire to power the solenoid. So I just use the factory key fob.

The only downside is, I assume, is I voided the warranty.

I also had to install spring loaded poppers that kick the door out about 3 inches when I 'unlock' the door.
