Newbie from the UK
Hi everyone, I'm Simon, I'm 24 (soon to be 25) and I live in the county of Hampshire on the south coast of England.
I'm nuts about cars, especially American cars, so naturally I am interested in the Mustang - probably the mostwell-known American car worldwide.
Since I was 21 I have been driving left hand drive American cars, starting with a 1993 Saturn SC2, then a 1992 Saturn SL2,andI currently drive a 1988 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. However now I will be turning 25 next week so now my insurance premiums are getting more palatable a sporty rear-wheel drive V8car is on theagenda. A Mustang is high up on the list of opinions. My favourite that I can afford is the 1994-95 5.0 GT, preferably a 5-speed manual. Though I'd be tempted by a 1996-98 4.6 if one comes up in my price band. You'd think a Firebird would be the logical step from a Bonneville butthe GMF-bodies don't appeal to be as much as the Mustang.I'm not looking to change immediately as I don't have the funds, but sometime this year would be good.
In my spare time I help run a more general car enthusiast's discussion site at www.street-car.net. It's a forum community for car enthusiasts everywhere combined with a specifications database. Our policy with the forum is simple - it's you're a car enthusiast you're welcome here, regardless of what car you drive or what kind of cars "float your boat". No-one is made to feel unwelcome. If it sounds like your kind of thing feel free to check it out.
Now i will move to another part of the board and ask my daft newbie questions, lol.
